Accessibility statement

Our commitment

We design and improve this website with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our target for core shopping flows: browsing the shop, learning how the process works, managing an account, cart, and checkout. We are also working toward WCAG 2.2 AA where practical. We have not claimed third-party certification for the full site.

Scope

This statement covers harmrit.com public pages and member account basics.

• In scope for our AA target: Home, Shop, product pages, How it works, Gallery, Guides, FAQ, Support policies, Contact, cart, and checkout entry.
• Partially in scope: Portrait Studio (multi-step creation, uploads, and AI preview tools). Critical actions should remain reachable; advanced interactions are still being improved.
• Third-party limits: Payment providers and other embeds may follow their own accessibility practices, which we do not fully control.

Standards

Our reference standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. “Target” means we use these criteria to prioritize fixes — not that every page has passed a formal external audit.

Measures we take

We apply these practices on the storefront and keep refining them:

• Skip link to main content and a primary main landmark on every storefront page
• Visible keyboard focus styles on links, buttons, and form controls
• Named controls for search, cart, account, language, and mobile navigation
• Labeled forms for contact, account login, checkout shipping, newsletter, and cart coupons
• Error and status messages announced with appropriate live regions on login and checkout
• Text alternatives for meaningful product and gallery images where content is editorial
• Portrait Studio step indicators expose the current step and allow keyboard activation when navigation is available
• A public feedback channel so barriers can be reported and fixed in priority order

Compatibility

We aim for compatibility with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, together with common assistive technologies such as VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and NVDA (Windows). Support is best-effort: combinations of browser, OS, and assistive technology vary, and we improve based on real customer reports.

Known limitations

We are transparent about areas that may still create barriers:

• Portrait Studio conversational guidance, photo crop tools, and preview canvases may still be difficult with screen readers or complex keyboard-only paths.
• Visual comparison of AI previews remains image-heavy; text summaries may not convey every artistic detail.
• Third-party payment and embed widgets can introduce controls outside our direct markup.
• Some gallery and marketing visuals convey mood or style that is not fully described in text.
• We have not completed a formal third-party WCAG conformance audit of the entire site.
